Rustic Meets Contemporary At The Winehouse In Langhorne Creek

I am feeling super grateful to have ended the rollercoaster of a year that was 2020 capturing the beginnings of this new chapter for Chelsea and Dan in Langhorne Creek.

It’s quite surreal thinking back to the corridors of SAC where Chelsea and I met almost 16 years ago. We completed high school together while working with each other at our first job. We shared novel teenage high school experiences and have made time for each other beyond our formative years.

How the day started

The day started at Chelsea’s parents beautiful riverside home in Wellington, SA. The girls finished up with hair and makeup surrounded by champagne and beautiful florals by Flowers in Nature. Meanwhile, the boys made their way over to the Wellington property for a game of pool before the first look.

The first look

The first look between a father and daughter is always a special moment and Chelsea and Marty were no exception. In preparation for Chelsea’s first look with her Groom, I ushered Dan away from the the beers and the boys and gave him a moment to prepare. Tucked away overlooking the river, Chelsea slowly made her way over to her soon-to-be husband. When she eventually tapped him on the shoulder, they embraced for the first of many times on that day.

The wedding

I gathered the bridal party together and we made our way over to the main street of Langhorne Creek to take some pre-ceremony bridal party portraits. We visited the historic accommodation where the groomsmen spent the evening prior, and the cutest general store you did ever see.

With nerves eased, we made our way just minutes down the road to The Winehouse which would host the rest of the days festivities. The ceremony overlooked a seemingly never-ending sea of vines and the interior was warm, rustic and inviting.

With the “I do’s”, the popping of champagne and so many laughs shared, Chelsea and Dan celebrated with their loved ones after a year where such occasions were few and far between.
