When it comes to weddings, the choice of setting and location is paramount. In Strathalbyn on the Fleurieu Peninsula, the rolling hills and breath-taking vistas provided an enchanting backdrop for Aneeka and Jan’s special day.
As a seasoned photographer, I understand the pivotal role that setting and location play in telling the complete story of a wedding. These elements set the tone for the event and become the canvas for cherished memories that will be treasured for generations.
Throughout the day, I’m attuned to the changing interplay of light and landscape. The golden hour, with its soft, warm hues as the sun dips low, creates magical moments, perfect for capturing intimate and romantic portraits. This dynamic lighting adds depth and texture to the photographs, evoking a sense of movement and emotion.
The choice of wedding venue often reflects the personalities and values of the couple. Whether it’s a grand ballroom, or a scenic seaside coastline, the venue becomes an extension of their story. It’s my responsibility as a photographer to encapsulate these subtleties and weave them into the narrative.
Recognising the profound impact of setting and location, I ensure they are central to the entire wedding story. They form the foundation for memories that will resonate through time, embodying the essence of the couple. Through my lens, I strive to encapsulate the soul of the location, creating a visual tale that chronicles the day’s journey from dawn to dusk.
In every frame, the interplay of setting and location serves as a testament to the love and unique story that Aneeka and Jan share. Their choice of Strathalbyn on the Fleurieu Peninsula as their backdrop encapsulates the essence of their union. Their choices have created an album of memories that will stand the test of time.

Jan and I both played basketball at Sturt Sabres Basketball Club. We kept things under wraps for a while but then made it official. We did make up an anniversary date. However, I do remember our first date was at Good Life Pizza in Glenelg which Jan then recreated at home for my 18th birthday.
We got engaged on the 12th June 2021 on Kangaroo Island.
Fun and relaxed. Sage green and whites

Get things done early! There’s always last minute things but get the bigger stuff done and off your mind.
